Matteo

When Matteo joined us he'd never worked in heating. What he had was the right attitude: a good work ethic, a hunger to learn and pride in doing the job properly. You can't teach that bit.
With hands-on training and one of our senior engineers alongside him, he's gone from the classroom to real installs. On this job he took the lead on the pipework and hanging the boiler, with everything checked as he went.

What the customer needed
The homeowner had an older boiler that was costing too much to run and couldn't be relied on. They wanted:

Why the Greenstar 2000

What we fitted
New boiler and flue
The Greenstar 2000 went on the wall with a new flue, and the brickwork around the old flue hole was made good.
Pipework
Matteo re-ran and tidied the pipework layout under the boiler. That's the part you'll look at every day, so it matters.
System flush
All the radiators were flushed through to clear out sludge before the new boiler was connected.
Filter and inhibitor
A magnetic filter to catch debris and inhibitor to keep the water clean. Both help the boiler last and keep the guarantee valid.
Thermostat
A programmable wireless thermostat so the heating runs to a schedule that suits the house.
Service reminders
The customer is set up on our automatic reminders, so they'll hear from us when the annual service is due.
