Yes. As long as the service is carried out every year by a Gas Safe registered engineer and recorded, your manufacturer guarantee stays valid. We email the certificate the same day and set your next reminder automatically.
Can you service my boiler if you did not install it?
Yes. We service all major makes including Worcester Bosch, Vaillant, Ideal, Baxi, Glow-worm and Viessmann, whether we fitted the boiler or not.
What happens if you find a problem during the service?
Anything minor is sorted on the spot. Anything larger is explained and quoted before any extra work starts. A service is not a repair, so repairs are booked separately or covered by the Boiler and Complete Home Care plans.
Is it worth servicing a boiler that seems fine?
Yes. Most of the faults we repair in winter started as small problems that a service would have caught, and a boiler that has not been serviced can lose its guarantee. It is also the check that confirms the boiler is burning safely.
What is the difference between a boiler service and a gas safety check?
A service is maintenance on the boiler itself. A gas safety check, or CP12, is the legal safety inspection landlords need every 12 months and covers all gas appliances in the property. We do both, and a CP12 with a service together is £144.
